Momentous Energy is a 100% Black-owned South African renewable energy company and a core member of the Vecteng Group. Since its establishment in 2011, Momentous Energy has specialized in the development, financing, engineering, construction, ownership, and operation of renewable energy assets, with a primary focus on solar photovoltaic (PV) power generation and lithium-iron phosphate battery energy storage systems (BESS). The company pioneered South Africa’s first renewable energy Independent Power Producer (IPP) project under the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme (REIPPPP), the landmark RustMo1 Solar Farm near Rustenburg marking a significant milestone in the nation’s clean energy transition. Momentous Energy has been shortlisted in the Independent Transmission Project Procurement Programme.

Vecteng Capital focus is in project finance, mergers and acquisitons and investing in startups. Vecteng Capital invests and supports projects with debt and equity required for the projects to reach financial close. Vecteng Capital secures and manages debt and equity financing for our projects and Clients. Our services encompass a range of financial activities, including financial modeling, financial close management, and the optimisation of costs and returns. One of our expertise lies in the financial domain of Project Finance for projects using the PPP model. We collaborate with local and international equity providers, development finance institutes, and lenders to ensure our clients have access to the necessary financial resources.
